Black Bean Burgers¶

- Mushrooms
- Garlic cloves (2)
- Cilantro (1/4 c)
- Middle
- Black beans (30 oz)
- Hamburger buns
- Dairy
- Eggs (2)
- Pepper jack cheese slices
- Staples

- Ketchup (2 tbsp)
- Worcestershire sauce (2 tsp)
- Hot sauce (1/2 tsp)
- BBQ sauce (2 tbsp)
- Salt (3/4 tsp)
- Black pepper (1/2 tsp)
- Cumin (1 tsp)
- Chili powder (1 tsp)
- Smoked paprika (1 tsp)
- Breadcrumbs (1/2 c)
- Olive oil (1 tbsp)
Prep¶
- Drain and rinse black beans.
- Carmelize 1 onion
- Prep pan fry mushrooms
- Aromatics
- Finely chop 1 onion
- Press 2 garlic cloves
- Bowl, mix
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 c breadcrumbs
Instructions¶
- Preheat oven to 325
- Spread beans on sheet, bake 15m to dry
- For onion, garlic
- Pan fry until softened, 5-6m.
- Blot dry
- Add to bowl
- Form the into 6 patties.
- Oven to 400
- Bake for 10 minutes on each side.
- Add Cheese, continue bake
- Serve
