Prep¶
- Dice the onion.
- If basil, rough chop.
- Open cans: tomatoes, beans, tomato paste, vegetable broth.
Cook¶
- Soup pot. Medium heat. Olive oil.
- Add onion, salt. Cook 7-10m, stirring occasionally.
- Add tomato paste. Cook 30s, stirring constantly.
- Add tomatoes, vegetable broth. Stir to combine.
- Increase heat to medium-high, bring to simmer.
- Cook 30m, stirring occasionally.
- Let cool few min.
- Transfer to blender. Add...

- unsalted butter (2tbsps)
- brown sugar (1tsp)
- pepper
- basil (opt)

- Blend until smooth.
